Welcoming Hattie, Our New Designer

Liquorice welcomes our new designer, Hattie Peters, to the team who started in January. We were keen to learn a bit more about this curious little designer, so asked her a few fun questions…

When you were little what did you want to be when you grew up?

I was obsessed with every interior design program on the telly and thought I’d be the next Laurence Llewelyn Bowen. I persevered at decorating my wendy house in a nautical theme and even painted dolphins on the walls.

What’s your favourite font and why?

I bought a new font the other day called Festivo, it’s awesome and has loads of cool styles all packed into one font family #lovingit

Share an interesting fact about yourself…

I have an identical twin!

What was the naughtiest thing you did as a child?

Me and my twin sister drew on all the walls of the house (budding artists at 5 years old) consequently all pens/crayons/pencils were confiscated for a whole year …or until we found the stash!

What’s the best decision your ever made?

Changing my uni course from BA (Hons) Photography to BA (Hons) Graphic Design, as I wouldn’t find myself designing creative things for Liquorice.

What’s your favourite film?

Micmacs. It’s a french comedy written/directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet who also directed Amelie. If you haven’t seen it, you need to!

What’s your favourite joke?

There’s too many, but here’s one for the road: I taught my Dog to play the trumpet on the London Underground… We went from Barking to Tooting in about an hour.
