Welcoming Jade, Our New Designer
We are proud to announce the arrival of the latest member of our design team, Jade Ho. We had previously worked with Jade on a number of projects and couldn’t resist the opportunity to make her a fully fledged member of the team. We asked her a few questions to get to know this gem a little better:
When you were little what did you want to be when you grew up?
Either a Dancer or an Architect!
What is the most iconic piece of design work, in your opinion?
There so many, it’s very hard to choose: Sagrada Famillia, London taxi’s, Eames or Chanel…
What was the naughtiest thing you did as a child?
My parents couldn’t afford a washing machine when I was little, so my younger sister and I had to wash the clothes by hand. One day, my dad told me off and I took my revenge by putting loads of washing powder whilst soaking his underwear and I didn’t rinse them out so he ended up scratching himself all week, I still remember sniggering to myself. When my dad found out, he told me off even more but eventually saw the funny side!
What’s the best decision you ever made?
It has to be back packing to different parts of the world by myself and marrying my husband (I have to say this as he’s standing behind me).
What’s your favourite film?
My Neighbor Totoro, It’s a Wonderful Life, Drive, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, City of God – argh… I can’t choose!
What’s your favourite joke?
That Trump might be the next US president.
Who inspires you most?
My family, friends, David Attenborough, Ballesteros, Heatherwick, Zhang Yimou and Christopher Nolan.
