Welcoming Vicki, Our New Account Manager

Liquorice continues to grow and recently welcomed a new Account Manager, Vicki Smart, into the team. We were interested in finding out more about Vicki, so we had her answer a few fun questions:

When you were little what did you want to be when you grew up?

I really wanted to be an architect – and I drew buildings constantly in preparation for my career as a skyscraper designer. I was really determined to pursue my dreams, until the age of 11 when a teacher told me I’d need to go to university for 7 years. After that I decided a stockbroker would be a better bet! In the end I studied marketing…

Share an interesting fact about yourself…

My actual birth name is Vicki, with an i, and not Victoria. It throws people constantly!

What was the naughtiest thing you did as a child?

At nursery school, I got in trouble for ‘collecting leaves’ from the garden and piling them on the chairs inside. The other kids had told me that’s what our teacher had said to do… and I was the only one who got caught! Although I still maintain that wasn’t my fault.

What’s the best decision your ever made?

Buying my first iPhone. Before that I was fiercely loyal to BlackBerry. RIP.

What’s your favourite film?

It has to be The Great Gatsby. The cinematography is amazing.

What’s your favourite joke?

I can never remember jokes… so this is one I found by Googling… “Did you hear about the guy whose whole left side was cut off? He’s all right now.”

Who inspires you most?

I’m a big fan of American comedienne’s – Mindy Kaling, Amy Schumer, Chelsea Handler… I’ve read all of their books and they’re hilarious. They inspire me to be funnier.
